From this, the fierce Veerbhadra emerged. He was fierce, had three burning eyes, and a dark complexion. He asked the Lord Shiva, ‘What is your command? Lord Shiva commanded hims to destroy Dakhsa’s Yagna and punish Dakhsa. Veerbhadra went to launch an attack on Daksha with his warriors and ganas.

Suddenly, there were signs of a bad omen at the place of yagna. The yagna ground was shaking. There were dark spots in the sun and meteor showers in the sky. There was dark red rain and darkness everywhere.

Prajapati Daksha, terrified and scared, asked Lord Vishnu to protect the yagna. Lord Vishnu suggested Daksha to surrender to Lord Shiva and ask for forgiveness. He was more scared after listening to this. Verabhdra arrived there with his army at the same time. Lord Vishnu told Prajapati Daksha that It is wise to think before you speak and act. None can save you from Veerabhdra.

He asked Indra and other gods to protect his yagna. After his request, they agreed to help him in the war against Veerabhdra and his warriors. Indra asked Brihaspati also known as Devguru, What is the best way to win this war? Brihaspati replied, “There is no way to win this war. Lord Shiva is the most powerful. It is better to surrender to him and ask for forgiveness.

Lord Vishnu asked Veerbhadra to stop the destruction. He said, “You may try to destroy the yagna, but it is my duty to protect the yagna.” Veerabhadra used the most powerful weapon to fight against Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu used his chakra but Veerabhadra immobilized it. Following this, Lord Vishnu left the war and returned to his place.

Veerabhadra pulled Prajapati Daksha and twisted his neck, broke it and threw it in the fire. Veerabhadra returned victorious and went on to Kailasha.
