Lord Shiva’s रुद्राक्ष (Rudraksha)
In Sanskrit, रुद्र(Rudra) means Shiva and अक्ष (Aksha) means tears. The Rudraksha is most favored by Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva told Goddess Parvati about Rudraksha.
According to Shiva Purana, Lord Shiva was in a deep state of meditation for thousands of years. One day he opened his eyes because of cosmic play. Tears fell from his eyes on the ground. A Rudraskha tree emerged from the tears. He gave away all those Rudraskha to his devotees and others. Then he created a rudraksha tree on earth. There are four types of rudraksha as per their colours; White, red, yellow and black. There are 14 types of rudraksha as per their face. There are mantras for each rudraksha.
